Do I know you?

Hello little sailors!

I'm very proud to start this blog with this fantastic activity that allow us to know each other a little bit closer. The activity is called "Flipped introductions" and it is an interesting way to introduce a person that it is not yourself. Furthemore, this activity enables us to intimate with people that maybe we don't have any relationship.

This activity were planned in three parts:

1- We created the script of the video, using Google Drive (because in our case we wanted to make a video), and then we swap our scripts in order to answer my partner questions'. Once we answered the questions, we did collaborative work correcting each other script and explaining our reasons why there were wrong. Also, we gave us some feedback and we comment each other script, telling us some tips, changing some expressions (that sounded much better) and correcting us our pronunciation.

2- We chose the place to record the video (in our case was a school classroom). While we were recording the video we realized that it was much better to answer the questions with our own words that with those that we wrote in the script, because it was more spontaneous an less robotic.

3- Once we had the videos, in my case, I created the video using iMovie program and I uploaded the video to my youtube channel to share it to the world.

Having said that, I would like to show you my work. The interview is to Rebecca Mirodoni who is a current student of the master's degree about bilingualism in university Rey Juan Carlos. Moreover, she has created a fantastic blog, I leave you the link below.

Let me conclude by saying, that this activity as I said above it is very interesting and have a lot of uses because we can create infinitives of interviews. Furthermore, this activity could be used in a school at the beginning of the course to get in touch with your  students. So it could be a fantastic way to teach in indirect wat the present simple to the kids because they have to create questions/answers and also they can learn acquire the language and not learning it by heart.

As my concern, this activity gave me good vibrations because I realized that it could be a great collaborative learning activity to improve the four skills and learn from each other. So if I have learned something kids can learn much more than us and as twenty first century teachers we have to start to use more the ICT and less textbooks.
